To see in the flame haired front man’s turning of age, it seemed only fitting to throw on a spot of ‘Situation Vacant’ by The Kinks [see what we did there?] and guffawed at the chance to spin Half Man Half Biscuit’s suitably foul ‘Something rotten in the back of Iceland’.
But it wasn’t all birthday cheer on this week’s show, heck no. After much speculation and a cheeky new download on the agenda, The Strokes finally confirmed that they are back with their fifth studio album, ‘Comedown Machine’; it seemed only fitting then to hear out the free track ‘One Way Trigger’ really didn’t it? New show crush and uber Orange county blues fiends, Feeding People also made their debut.
