2 hours later after writing those lines above, and I am gobsmacked. Banger after banger after banger. Gorgon City were on fire, everything Route 94 touched turned to gold, Duke Dumont killed it, and Jess Glynne seemed to feature on every chart topping track that year. Let alone two incredible albums 'Motion' by Calvin Harris and 'Settle' by Disclosure, alongside a host of other songs by a range of other artists.
Honestly, it could be the greatest of all time. In order to find out, I'll be targeting some other amazing years to compare in shows to come. But first, listen in below and let me know your thoughts!
