On Hoxton Live this week we took a nostalgic trip back in time to 1949 exploring the new Tate Publishing book Nigel Henderson's Streets: Photographs of London's East End 1949-53 with the books editor Clive Coward.
The imagery depicts a joyful optimistic view of East London with locals smiling and joking while going about their everyday life. Loads more old people in 1949 than East London today and way less cars which is refreshing to see.
In our new Tales Of The Traders feature Norse joined us for a chat from Old Spitalfields Market where you can catch them set up across the week stocking authentic mens shaving kits.
We also took a look at the Champions League draw which has just been made:
Atletico Madrid (Spain) v Leicester City (Eng)
Borussia Dortmund (Germany) v Monaco (France)
Bayern Munich (Germany) v Real Madrid (Spain)
Juventus (Italy) v Barcelona (Spain)
