This week I chatted to the curator of - Liat Rosenthal about not only her history as a puppeteer and how at one point she said "puppeteering will change the world' but more importantly her work at Tate-Late . Not only is the Tate celebrating it's second anniversary this month of after-hours-art with an eclectic mix of art, music. film and workshops however they have a never before attempted art event this Friday night. So if you fancy getting involved in a piece of history, go to the Turbine Hall for a seven pm start where the large, heat sensitive floor will capture your body heat to reveal a hidden portrait underneath.
I joked about how it's almost a 20 minute meditation with a few hundred other people however as always there is a much more serious topic that the art is representing. This work in particular is highlighting the global migration crisis featuring a portrait of Yousef, a young man who left Syria to come to London.
