This week saw us taking on the Pigeon playlist with much gusto and mirth, as we bid adieu to one of the finest purveyors of long form music journalism left, The Stool Pigeon. Only such a bespoke, and frankly diverse, ray of hits could be compiled to form such a genius play listing as Fu Manchu’s aptly entitled, ‘Pigeon Toe’ is played out alongside the big band jazz sounds of Kid Creole and the Coconuts, naturally. When we’re not guffawing at our fitting puns or trying to shoehorn obscure band requests into the themed section of the show, we also enjoy dabbling in some of the finer releases to come out including the return of rock juggernauts, Dinosaur Pile Up with their latest ‘Lip, Hook, Kiss’ and NY garage cool, Parquet Court.
