I will try and keep this short & simple! Back end of last year there was a lot of dark 808 techy acid house tracks big on the dance floor. Most of these emerged as release in the early part of 2012. The sound progressively dropped the whole 808 drum thing and moved heavily towards acid house & techno til the middle of the year.
