Whatever Session - 13 - Hark & Dan - South America Special - 28-06-2012

Yes we are back. Some of you may know that we were away travelling around South America for, four months. The whole continent literally. Top to bottom. Sun, rain, snow, mountains, jungle, beach, and desert. While we were away we gathered some great music from some of the countries. First stop was Rio, were we discovered the fruitful sounds of funky fevela. It’s their version of UK funky. But a lot more funky, sexual and stripped down. The guys in the hostel gave me a few tips on where to find some tunes. Then in Bogota (Colombia) a pretty little lady gave me the name of a group called ChocQuibTown. These guys are funky hiphop collective, rapping in Spanish. Extremely catchy tunes. Then in a place called Mancora (Peru) we met two brothers from a place in Argentina called Mendoza, who shared a lot music with us. Filled up half my USB stick with music.
