Coffee culture is a global social activity. People drink coffee, pass the time of day, engage in conversation, watch the world go by, listen to music, read a book, share and exchange ideas. To quote Jackie Chan "Coffee is a language in itself".
In today’s Kaledisocope Viet show, John Reilly (Chair of Friends of Vietnam Heritage) and Nguyen Huu Khoi (from VICAS) explore their mutual love of coffee, discussing its origins in Vietnam, why different groups of people choose a particular genre of café to different beverage types and the importance of coffee in Vietnam’s psyche.
