Funk rides in the backseat, as Hip Hop has its grip firmly placed on the steering wheel of Funky Corners #96. For the record, Dancehall is somewhere on the roof rack.
We play the original track which was sampled by the Golden Era classic “I Got To Have It” by Ed O.G. & Da Bulldogs. Before he was simply “Edo” and dropped Da Bulldogs.
Selections include: C.E.B., Ice Cube, MC Lyte, Mr. Chop, Populous, Shabba Ranks, W. Rockman, Rose Royce, Merl Saunders, Waajeed, plus a Cru double.
