Description
Yes, Man! It’s the Funky Corners 2 Year Anniversary on WCDB! To keep tradition, we play straight wax from the crates. Strictly vinyl! Fatty, One-Man Party, Johnny Speed, Lo-Fi Lobo, and Oddy Gato join T_Wheels to get loose, Funky-Corners style.
For the evening’s Crate Highlight we spin records that sampled the funk classic “The Payback,” by the Godfather of Soul.
Selections include Big Pun, Peter Brown, Dennis Coffey and the Detroit Guitar Band, Gang Star, Heather B, The High & Mighty, Mass Production, Mr. Lif, Nas, Notorious B.I.G., Public Enemy, Erick Sermon, Zion I, and Jamal.
