Description
In the first half of Show #92, we are extremely fortunate to be joined by old-school rap-pioneer B-Eazy. We go back to Harlem World to recount his experiences growing up in a burgeoning hip hop culture. He discusses his musical projects, plus defines what it meant to have “Marshmallows” back in the day. Since the show runs nearly four hours in length, Fatty sticks around for the remaining two, to make sure T_Wheels keeps his wits.
We deliver two Crate Highlights on this extended program. The first is the famed “Heaven & Hell...” by the 20th Century Steel Band and the second is the track that DJ Shadow sampled for “Organ Donor.”
Selections include: Boss, Donald Byrd, Capital Tax, Cymande, Deltron 3030, Devin B, Dezmatic, Eric B. & Rakim, The Fatback Band, Funkadelic, Lords of the Underground, Mad Dukez and Fresh Kils, MC Lyte, Son of Bazerk, Terminator X, Twin Hype, and MC Paul Barman.
