Funky Corners Show #86 Featuring D_Wheels 08-09-2013

We take it waay back to the Old School (even more so than usual) to celebrate hip hop’s 40th anniversary, in Show #86. The Brothers Wheeler are reunited as T_Wheels’ brother D_Wheels slides into the spot to discuss the good ol’ days, play some early hip hop hop & talk plenty of nonsense.

For the Crate Highlight, we keep with the roots of hip hop, and break down the samples & interpolations in Afrika Bambaata’s “Planet Rock.”

Other selections include: Blackbyrds, Soho, West Street Mob, Living Legends, N.W.A., O.G. Style, Yelawolf, and the Fat Boys.
