Show #71 marks two notable dates in Hip Hop history. It’s the 3 year anniversary of the passing of Guru, formally of Gang Starr, as well as the 19th anniversary of the debut release “Illmatic” by Nas. We also drop a world-premier D.A. Jay track and have Fatty in the studio, to boot.
We do a double Gang Starr Crate Highlight, playing the original tracks used for “Skills” and “Mass Appeal.”
Other selections include: Roy Ayers, B.T. Express, Gwen McCrae, Roy Ayers, Black Moon, Boogie Monsters, Group Home, Redman, and Freddie Finger.
