We dole out the Dilla in Funky Corners #63, in honor of the annual “Beat*Shot Spins for Dilla” event in Albany, NY. We also throw in a touch of Happy Rap, mid-90s rap, and just plain rap-rap.
Lou Donaldson was sampled by Dana Dane, De La Soul, and a Tribe Called Quest. Find out which track, in the Crate Highlight segment of the show.
Other selections include: The Chakachas, Kay Gees, Stevie Wonder, The Beatnuts, Oddisee, Showbiz & A.G., and Groove B. Chill.
