Description
It’s the end of an era. Well sort of. In the final (at least for the near future) two-hour Funky Corners, we take it back to the bread & butter–type business – old school rap, funk, beats, and samples. We’ll still be going strong, however, just in 60 minute installments.
The Crate Highlight ventures outside of the traditional hip hop source samples, and displays 10 tracks which were inspired by the Jimi Hendrix song “Voodoo Child.”
2Pac, AstroLogical, Birocratic, Bmbu, BubbleWild & Jazzquarterz, C.P.O, Detroit Sex Machines, Diamond D & The Psychotic Neurotics, Digital Underground, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Grand Puba, The Honeydrippers, Kenny Keys, Galt MacDermot, The Meters, Philanthrope & Devaloop, The Rhythm Section, Sylk Smoov, WC & The Maad Circle, Yotaro, and Eugene McDaniels.
