Description
We’re not sure if we thought it would last this long, but Funky Corners is 4 years old! It’s the anniversary of the program, and as tradition dictates, we play vinyl only. Virgomega stops by and mans (womans?) the record collection, as well as talks about her 90s R&B collection.
“Synthesizer guy” Gary Wright is featured in our Crate Highlight segment. T_Wheels manages to dig up FIVE records with samples of the track “Love is Alive.”
Selections include: 3rd Bass, Audio Two, Average White Band, Biz Markie, Boogie Down Productions, The Classical II, Das EFX, elsphinx, Giant Gorilla Dog Thing, Grizzly Gato, House Of Pain, Quincy Jones, Craig Mack, Masta Ace Incorporated, Run-D.M.C., Sonja Blade, Super Lover Cee & Casanova Rud, Stetsasonic, Sway & King Tech, Tone Loc, Ultramagnetic MC’s, Grover Washington, Jr., X-Ecutioners, and Harry Lang Combo.
