Description
“Straight Outta Compton” has just been released in theaters, and thus it’s only sensible to assemble a tribute Funky Corners-style. We present 2 hours of music inspired by, related to, and sampled by the rap supergroup N.W.A.
Instead of one Crate Highlight, we throw in a few throughout the program, spotlighting some of N.W.A.’s more notable samples.
Selections include: 2Pac, Above The Law, Arabian Prince, James Brown, C.P.O., The D.O.C., Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Fila Fresh Crew, Funkadelic, H.W.A., Ice Cube, Isley Brothers, MC Ren, Roy Ayers Ubiquity, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Marva Whitney, Yella, and Ohio Players.
