Description
T_Wheels sets the show off deep in the 80s in a makeshift tribute to the Sugarhill Gang’s Big Bank Hank. Eventually the first hour progresses to soul and downtempo beats. The show is capped up with a mishmash of all eras of that rap music.
As hard as it is to believe, this is the first Crate Highlight in which we’ve featured Roy Ayers. We show you who sampled his 1973 track “Red, Black & Green.”
Selections include: Charles Bradley, Busta Rhymes, Daddy-O, Del The Funky Homosapien, Deodato, DJ Quik, Dr. Who Dat?, Dynamic Twins, HeaT Flare, Jeanne & The Darlings, Kool Moe Dee, Stetsasonic, Superlover Cee & Cassanova Rud, X-Clan, and Handsome Boy Modeling School.
