Description
Lots of syrupy funk and grimy rap music underscore Funky Corners #140. We turn the tempo waay down and post-up sideways.
For the Crate Highlight, we collar up the gangster classic “No Name Bar” by Isaac Hays. Taken from the Shaft motion picture soundtrack, notable artists to sample it were 2Pac, E-40, The D.O.C., X-Raided, and DJ Magic Mike.
Selections include: Blockhead, Busdriver, D-Nice, DJ Shadow, Grand Puba, GZA & Rass Kass, Simon Haseley, Jenova 7 & Mr. Moods, Kaleo, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Outkast, David Snell, Tropes, and Little Milton.
