Description
We start off Show #134 with early 90s-not-quite-happy-rap type rap then move on to the funky soul and underground rap. We wrap the show up with a half-hour of Crate highlight business, then instrumentals, both in the way of funk, as well as downtempo beats.
Primarily known in the Nas track “One Love,” we play “Smilin’ Billy Suite” by the Heath Brothers and deliver a few more tracks that sampled, it in the Crate Highlight segment of the show.
Selections include: Abraham Inc., Bad Medicine, Blackbyrds, Da Cheeba Hawks, Dday One, Fu-Schnickens, Giant Gorilla Dog Thing, Hieroglyphics, J-Live, Kurious, Large Professor, Lords of the Underground, Buddy Maxwell, Raw Fusion, Rose Royce, and Mack Rice.
