Description
We’re back to the low BPMs in Show #123. That being the case, we play a disproportionate amount of West Coast hip hop. Also included is a reggae set, and some funky jazz.
We go deep in the archives and bring out “Up On Cripple Creek,” for the Crate Highlight of the show. It was most famously sampled by Gang Starr and The Pharcyde.
Selections include: Beastie Boys, Boogie Down Productions, Boogie Monsters, D.A. Jay, Dead Prez, Syd Dale, Del, Dr. Dre, Ice-T, The Lost Generation, Eugene McDaniels, Busta Rhymes, Max Romeo, RZA, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Special Ed, and Freddie.
