Description
Funky Corners #120 gets off to a bit of a rocky start with technical, and wardrobe issues, but manages to get on track after a short time. The show is packed with instrumentals, thick funk, and choice early 90s hip hop.
The Crate Highlight gets smoothed out with Bobby Caldwell’s easy classic “What You Won’t Do For Love.” Artists that sampled it include Kool G. Rap, Guru, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and 2Pac.
Selections include: Afrique, Tha Alkaholiks, Average White Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Jay Dee, Jurassic 5, Kan Kick, PJ Katz, Kool Moe Dee, Jack Mayborn, MF Doom, Roy Ayers Ubiquity, Skull Snaps, Souls Of Mischief, Time Machine, West Coast Rap All-Star, Willowy, Yaggfu Front, and Roger Roger Ensemble.
