Over time I’ve become really frustrated with groupthink, the way people who are fortunate, stable and lucky buy into feeling marginalized and isolated. Television keeps telling them they’re hard done by and they’re not. We’re all saturated with advertising, fantastically over mediated, and there’s a self-awareness that a reliance on that luxury tends to blunt.

I hear a lot of self-awareness in these pieces, which is why I kept coming back to them when I was putting together Uriarra Road. There are some artists who were involved in the album, and some artists I cannot stop listening to no matter how much I try; I also shamelessly snuck an old track of mine in there.
