Talvihorros - There Will Be Cobwebs (Side A)

This is the latest installment in my mix project which collects recordings from a particular period of time. Now in the 1990’s I was excited about the prospect of introducing the new world of electronic music to the already existing organic world of ambient and synthesised music.

The thought of Fennesz and Oval sitting side by side with Tortoise and Low was an exciting prospect. However I soon realised that for the first time in this project I found two worlds that would not sit well together – the pristine digital worlds that Fennesz creates does not mix as I hoped it would with more acoustic-based recordings. So I decided to split the 90’s into two different mixes a more organic/acoustic mix (Side A) and a more electronic computer based mix (which will be Side B). - Ben
