Fugues is a collective/nebula created in Paris in 2005. Today refocused around the tandem formed by founding member Jerome Olivier (words & ideas) and Julie Calbert (photographs), Fugues was originally a collection of interviews, contemplative prose writings and photographies published in 2006. This single eponymous ‘magazine’ gave birth to a healthy series of concerts and festivals in Paris, France : Fugues concerts, festivals Meeting People Is Easy, merry.go.round evenings.

Exhausted by the ambient mediocrity, Fugues put an end to its live activities in summer 2008 after having hosted and supported the first steps in France by artists such as The Sleeping Years, July Skies and Epic45.
