Celebrated since ancient times in fire festivals throughout the Britain, Ireland and other parts of Europe, Beltane marks the return of summer and the greening of the earth. We hear music that captures the passion of the party from Loreena McKennitt, Jim malcolm, Lúnasa, and Riverdance. This episode, with the above description, originally aired May 12, 2010 on NPR.
