In the 60s, Francoise Hardy was the French girl every English schoolboy fell in love with - and now middle aged male fans yearn for that girl who was sleek and sexy but shy and vulnerable too. Former BBC correspondent John Andrew goes back to Paris where he first heard her music on a school trip to France and 'fell in love' himself.
First broadcast on 21st May 2011 BBC Radio 4 Presented by John Andrew Produced by Alan Hall
