Description
Here is an archive from March 2017 with a 200 minutes Bunny Lee Special, at the time only broadcasted live pon the radio. From the late 60’s ‘til early 80’s, a handful of LP tracks, otherwise strictly 45.
Mini focus on flying cymbals & dub styles + on artists like Johnnie Clarke, Cornell Campbell or Barry Brown. Expect returning tracks from Delroy Wilson all along the selection, he’s among my fave voices and gave some of his best to Bunny Lee, couldn’t resist !
On top of his producer role, I can't imagine a single character being more at the right time, at the right place to witness the reggae blooming than Striker. The fact that he had no studio in the 70's probably made him the N°1 reggae insider witness of the best studios with the best musicians and singers. He's the one that most probably spent the most time at Tubbys. He was the one with the wider 1st person experience of the real authentic reggae. His eyes have seen & seen, his ears have heard & heard !
