The DejaVù label was born in 2001 based on the idea of Italian producer Paolo Scotti. It started with the issue of the first compilation "rio evolution vol. 1" (amalgam of nujazz and electronic bossa). Today the most important collaborations are with Panoptikum, Gerardo Frisina, Nicola Conte, Gilles Peterson, Eddy meets Yannah and Gotan Project. The label has taken care of remix works of artists like Aldemaro Romero, Frank Hernandez, Sun Ra, Jorge Ben and many other big names. DejaVù works today with musical genres like jazz, hard bop, latin and scat vocal.
