Impulse! is an American Jazz recordlabel that was launched in 1960 by producer Creed Taylor as a subsidiary of ABC Paramount Records. Most of the albums were produced by Bob Thiele that joined the company after Creed Taylor left to Verve Records. The label came to be known in retrospect as "the house that Trane built"
