New Mo'Jazz for Ness Radio after a Summer break...The selection made is based on the connections of the musicians. For instance Joe Henderson plays on "Mamacita", so my second selection was a track by Joe Henderson "Free Wheelin" where we here Lee Morgan on the trumpet, that same Lee Morgan plays on "Blue Shoes" by Cliff Jordan. Paul Chambers plays on the album "Cliff Jordan", and so my next selection is by The Red Garland Trio with Paul on Bass. Art Taylor on the drums with The Red Garland Trio and on the next track with Dexter Gordon. And then there's Billy Higgins who plays the drums on "Fish 'n Rice" by Andrew Hill and on "The Vamp" with Hank Mobley. 100% vinyl selection!!
