Steve Borth, II began to play the saxophone in fourth grade when he was 10 years old. He carried that interest into his teen years and as a young adult. The first band that he joined outside of his hometown of Sacramento, California was East Bay band, Link 80. He continued in the ska/punk scene when he left to join the Orange county based, Rx Bandits. With both bands he toured throughout the world. In 2003, he started to write his own music and front his own project, Satori with a more rocksteady sound. In 2009 he started CHLLNGR, a project focusing more on an electronic sound but using his dub roots as a foundation. Steve has also collaborated with many artists as a guest studio musician and a guest touring multi-instrumentalist.
