Adam Scrimshire was 14 when he started making music on an Amiga 500, with a Yamaha Tone Generator and an 8-Bit Sampler. His earliest efforts to create music led to winning the Cambridge band competition and self-releasing his first attempts at recording an album at 17. After heading to London to study audio engineering, years later, in 2006 Wah Wah 45s signed Scrimshire. A perfect fit with music steeped in jazz, soul and funk, with a nod to contemporary sounds, and strong in popular song writing sensibilities. Scrimshire’s three albums on Wah Wah 45s, 'Along Came the Devil One Night…', 'The Hollow' and 'Bight', have been widely recognised and praised by Gilles Peterson. In 2019 he finally followed up these releases with the album 'Listeners' on his newly established Albert’s Favourites label. He just dropped a new album called 'Paroxysm'.
