Description
Peter Vandenberghe studied piano at the Academy of Ostend, musicology and jazz with Diederik Wissels and Pierre van Dormael. He also took a course at the Brussels Conservatory with Eric Legnini. Vandenberghe joined Peter Vermeersch's band X-Legged Sally in 1995. In the meantime he's also active with Univers Zero, Monsoon, Pierre Vervloesem, ... In 2011 he founded Too Noisy. With this he has since released 3 albums. The two most recent albums were by the New York City Jazz Record ”listed as“ Album of the Year ”in 2013 and 2019. He works as a composer and pianist in various styles and embodiments (contemporary music, jazz, rock, free, concerts, opera, theater, film, dance, art,…). He is currently playing and composing for Flat Earth Society, Too Noisy Fish, Pierre Vervloesem,... He has worked and played with: Toots Thielemans, Arno, Uri Caine, Elliot Sharpe, Charles Hayworth,... He is also a teacher of improvisation at the Conservatory of Ghent. https://www.toonoisyfish.be
