Jaïr Tchong (Nijmegen, 1973) is a music programmer at vzw arts center KAAP, active in Bruges and Ostend. Before that, he worked as a freelance cultural journalist, advisor on cultural project subsidies and program maker. Media for which he has worked: a.o. De Volkskrant, Het Parool, De Groene Amsterdammer, VPRO Radio 6. Advisor: currently Municipality of Rotterdam and Kunstloc Brabant Tilburg (formerly Municipality of The Hague, Amsterdam Fund for the Arts, Fonds Podium Kunsten Den Haag and RRKC Rotterdam ). He has also worked for: Tolhuistuin (programme maker, including concert series QUARTET, Srebrenica Oratorium and IDFA @ Tolhuistuin 2015), Melkweg (music programmer, including series Shuffle.Play), Muziek Centrum Nederland (project leader world music, including WOMEX Copenhagen 2011, Dutch Jazz & World Meeting Amsterdam 2012) and IDFA (press officer Netherlands, edition 2018). www.kaap.be
