Anke Verslype is a drummer and composer from Antwerp and obtained her Master's degree in Jazz drums at the Antwerp Conservatory in 2020. Over the years, she was taught by Jan De Haas, Teun Verbruggen, Stephan Galland, Stijn Cools, Eric Thielemans, Lieven Venken, Herman Pardon, Free Desmyter, Kurt Van Herck and Bert Joris. Besides the conservatory she also continued her education as a drummer / musician and took lessons with Steve Clover, Toni Vitacolonna and Dana Hall, among others. Anke is both a drummer and composer and has always written music in all kinds of styles and genres, ranging from electronic music to big band arrangements.
