Welcome to young DJ Dyno-Mite's first-ever mixtape! Over time, many of my followers have wondered why and how I was able to transition from being a Hip Hop-based DJ/producer to playing and creating House music. This tape explains my origins. This is my first-ever House Music Mixtape, recorded sometime in 1988, most likely in the summertime, a year after going to the Paradise Garage and hearing most of the jams in this mix being played by the iconic Larry Levan. I got hooked early! The tracks in this cassette tape reflect the era, including basement-inspired tracks from Chicago, the emergence of Acid House, Todd Terry's Hip Hop-influenced beats, and Techno before it was called Techno. Please pardon any audio imperfections. This tape has weathered many storms. Enjoy!
