My passion for electronic music began in the early 90s, when Trance and Techno first pulled me in. Growing up in South Africa, discovering music meant searching through cassettes, CDs and record shops for something that resonated.
There were no playlists, streaming or endless downloads. If you wanted something new, you had to go looking for it. Reactivate 9 & 10, Harthouse, Eye Q, Sven Väth and Carl Cox opened the door.
That search has never left me. Today I can spend hours digging through music and find only a handful of tracks that genuinely resonate. I’m selective about what makes it into my mixes.
Trance remains my first love, while Peak Time and Melodic Techno are where I naturally gravitate. But I don't believe in being confined to one genre. Every mix is a journey rather than a playlist, blending emotion, energy and progression to create a story.
