The Global Underground show 17 broadcast 28th May 2020

This week's Global Underground show (Thursday Deal Radio 6 pm) starts with the beseeching voice of Cape Verdean barefoot diva Cesario Evora. Then we have blues music from the Mississippi Delta and the Sahara, Kenyan harp music, Finnish bluegrass, and two exquisite pieces of music from Brazil. After that little lot, you'll hear the ethereal voice of Liz Frazer of the Cocteau Twins singing with the late lamented Jeff Buckley. We round off the show with Yusuf Islam, better known as Cat Stevens.
