The Global Underground show 14 broadcast 7th May 2020

This week's Global Underground show (Deal Radio Thursday at 6 pm) starts with a beautiful song by guitar wizard Bob Brozman and Guinean composer and Kora player Djeli Moussa Diawara. I also broach the C-word with a country and western tune by Gram Parsons and The Byrd.

Next up is a ska/reggae mix with Jazz Jamaica, Alpha Blondy, Ska Cubano, and The Skatalites. I'm sure you'll enjoy hearing the soulful voice of Hawaiian Bla Pahinui with Ry Cooder, and the 'Madonna of the Middle East' Ofra Haza. Last but not least, an old classic, "Wild Thing." Written by Chip Taylor and performed by him and the late great South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela
