Tucked away in the “hospitality” suite of their local pub – the Chequers - is a small and feverish group of amateur players, for tonight is the first night of rehearsals for the St Luke’s Amateur Pantomime Society, affectionately known as the SLAPers to their friends. This year’s production will be that family favourite “ Sleeping Beauty” written by local English teacher, Felicity Treadwell.
