This is OUR POETRY Show #62, the last new show of this term, continuing to explore and celebrate poetic voices around Deal, Kent and the World in general. Since last week's show was our poets' favourites, this week it's my turn - some of my favourites from back in the day. These turned out to be: 'You and I' by Joanna West; 'Dragonflies' by David Tombesi-Walton; 'Cwmpengraig' by Maggie Harris; 'The Long Haul' by Ron Ogilvie; 'Sewing on a Late Autumn Day' by Avril Gray; 'Job' by Karl Mercer; 'Pocket' by Helen Matthews; 'Mixed Drinks' by Robert Marsh; 'I Want To Marry The RAC Man' by Katie Campbell; 'Writer's Block' by Colin Guest; 'Poem For Francesca' by Fay Francis and 'The Road To Deal' by Gawain Douglas. Of course there are several more showsworth of equally beloved (by me) poems by our local poets and many of them will be heard over the next few weeks in Repeat Shows going out while I focus on a great family Christmas and an auspicious start to 2025.
