OUR POETRY: The Music of Being Human is a radio show that explores and celebrates local poetic voices active around Deal, Kent and around the World. This show goes out on the eve of the UK General election so politics is unavoidable. The featured artist, however, is a ray of hope in the form of Celena Sabin Dawson, just now graduating from Kent University with a First Class Honours degree in English and Creative Writing. Just 21 and on her way. Other rather more hoary old poets write about subjects adjacent to the election, serious or comic. They include Colin Guest, Sarah Tait, Ian Harding, Helen Matthews, Mark Crump, Sarah Nash, Oscar the Lighthouse Bar Manager (quite young, really), Vicki Callanan and Chris Bell.
