This is a repeat of Show #4 which was devoted to poetry in education and the voices of young people. It began with three young voices - Etta Wilkinson, Mike Dowling and Eko Joels. The featured poet was Johnny Jahlfrezi, a prolific singer songwriter and performer in Deal who began as a poet and worked for decades in education. The rest of the show was about a visit by four of the Deal Poets Society - Irving Benjamin, Jill Burford, Georgina Koubel and me , Phil Welton - to Sheldwich Primary School, just outside Faversham, Kent, during their annual 'Book Week' in October 2022. It features an interview with Sarah Garrett, Head Teacher, James Cork, Head of English, and Patrick Burns, Class 4 Teacher. It was a wonderful day. I hope you enjoy the show.
