OUR POETRY The Music of Being Human explores and celebrates poetic voices around, Deal, around Kent, and around the world. some poetry requires a lot of digging to understand it. This week's featured artist is such a poet. Vicki Callanan's poems contain words, lots of them, signposts, expressions, indications, patterns and , indeed, the music of their sounds. They reward a lot of listening. The other poets in this show either write about difficulty or present difficult poems that need investigation to arrive at their true meaning/s. Sarah Nash, Aidan Hehir, Helen Matthews, Karl Mercer, Fay Franklin, Robert Marsh and Amy Kent Jones all present us with challenges of different sorts. Listen a few times for the full effect! PS Robert Marsh has told me that his poem 'The Beast Appealing' is a 'rant' against following Leaders, and an appeal for us to remain open minded and free thinking. I thought I should let you know!
