Hi there, Poetry Lovers,
Sad to say, the OUR POETRY Show will soon be coming to an end. I thought you might enjoy revisiting the very first show, broadcast on 31st May 2023, which introduced the idea for the show and what you could expect in the coming years. The featured artist was Joanna West and she was accompanied by some brilliant poetic voices many of whom have become familiar to regular listeners. They are Steve Wheeler, Francesca Howard, Charlotte Daly, Ian 'Boris' Hindmarch, Avril Gray, Ron Ogilvie, Eko Joels, Karl Mercer, Fay Franklin, Robert Marsh, Etta Wilkinson, Gawain Douglas and Rosie Wall. I hope this show gives you an idea of why I first decided to make the 88 or so subsequent shows. They have been a labour of love b ut all good things have their time and I've decided to retire from making them, partly in order to free up some brain and heart space for writing my own and exploring other forms of creativity. and partly for a bit of peace.
