Behind the moniker of Marsh Fever is Luke Overin, a visual artist and chronicler of Britain’s hidden traditions, strange customs, and overlooked subcultures.
To celebrate the merry month of May, he has teamed up with @newdimensionhq to create a playlist accompanying the release of his new book, Jack is Alive, which has just launched.
The book is a visual documentation of a unique set of May Day celebrations that take place each year in Deptford, south-east London. Acting as an audio counterpart to the publication, the playlist explores themes of spring, fertility, ritual, and the rebirth of nature.
