Zafraan Caravan Ernst Markus Stein presenting his artistic practice 05.09.2023

As part of the exchange project with https://www.theanou.com/, https://km-galerie.com/artists/ernst-markus-stein/artworks/ and https://cashmereradio.com/shows/diy-church/ Ernst Markus Stein presented his practice to the artisans at the studio. Stein's work includes web art focusing on aesthetic research of the early internet era, digital designs translated to machine-woven carpets and copying and printing practices with obsolete printing machines and mimeographs from the beginning of the last century. Goal of this presentation was to find points in common between Stein's practice and the crafting techniques and designs of the Anou artisans, as well as to expand the outlook of the respective methodologies and approaches.
