This recording takes place inside one of the buildings in the Victorian College
of the Arts, Melbourne known as the Octagon, which happens to be the old Police
stables.
Installed in the space are 7 p.a. monitors each playing a compilation of Drones
(such as vents, heaters, air conditioning units, liquid nitrogen rooms etc)
recorded around the city of melbourne over the past 3 months. There are about 30
drone recordings featured which cycle throughout the 7 speakers over about an
hour and a half where the recording comes from.
