To Hear Is To Feel #13: Interview with Gasoline Radio.
This time we had a friendly conversation with Oleksii Makarenko and Oleksandr Ushenko from Gasoline Radio— about starting a community radio in Ukraine right before the russian full-scale invasion, making culture in spite of bureaucracy, shellings, blackouts, burnouts, absence of funding (the list is not full). We also talk about the Спадок (Spadok) project: an expedition to Zakarpattya, which resulted in a release of a huge sample pack with traditional hutsul instruments, melodies, atmospheres, as well as a compilation of tracks made by young electronic musicians who recontextualized this material and gave it a new breath.
